After the completion of the Crown Lobby project at 5255 Yonge Street, the client, Crown Realty, came to us for yet another lobby repositioning – this one occupying the ground floor of the Greater Toronto Area’s largest office campus.

Taking the biophilic inspiration of the previous lobby interior to a whole new level, we reimagined a sprawling atrium as a laid-back indoor park, complete with life-sized sculptural trees and casual benches. The trees emphasize the scale of the space and define a series of “rooms” within a 200-foot-long aisle. Making the most of the triple-height space and ample natural light, the concept also incorporates live greenery and a custom art installation that evokes a colourful flock of birds soaring overhead.
